The Iwazu Tenman-gu Shrine has deified the guardian deity and the Michizane Sugawara public of learning.
As a special miracle, it has believed in Iwazu's deified spirit of Sugawara Michizane for many years as God which cures the illness, and God which brings up a child healthily.
A shrine is on the top of the scenic mountain which can command a whole view of the Mikawa plain, Yahagi's clear stream flows under its view, and charm is also surrounded by rich nature.

岩津天満宮は学問の守り神・菅原道真公をお祀りしています。特殊な御霊験として、岩津の天神様は病を癒す神様、子供を健康に育てる神様として古くから信仰されてきました。 お社は三河平野を一望できる眺めの良い山の上にあり、眼下に矢作の清流が流れ、豊かな自然に囲まれているのも魅力です。
