Just a short, sweet find for you. Can you figure out where you are supposed to park for this canoe launch? We found the signage interesting and maybe so will you.
This is the site of a canoe launch in progress by TPWD. I wouldn't try getting down there just yet until they finish it - we took a look while out exploring and, well, maybe I just have balance issues but I do not see how one could launch a canoe here safely the way it is now. It will be interesting to see how it looks when they finish. You could launch from here and go all the way down the Brazos River to Sugarland-Memorial Park, or even further. I have been looking for a link for this paddling trail and will post it when I find it.
