Geocache Description:

Beautiful sandstone building

As the 1800s drew to a close several new buildings helped confirm the growing importance of Bethlehem. Among them were the Old Magistrate’s Court on the corner of Louw and Van der Merwe streets, the foundation stone of which was laid by President Reitz, and Town House (number 12 Church Street) which was built for Mr and Mrs Willie Naude (today the Wooden Spoon Restaurant). The building has been fenced off recently, which made the original cache inaccessible. The cache was moved so that it is once again within reach.
