északra Vác, délkeletre pedig Szod fekszik.
Közúton a 2-es és
az M2-es (régebben 2/A) országúton; vasúton a Budapest-Vác-Szob
vasútvonalon közelítheto meg.
Szodliget
területén már a történelem elotti idokben is emberi szálláshely
volt, ezt bizonyítja a szodligeti volt Horgász-tanya mellett
talált, az átmeneti kokorszakból származó lelet is.
A pilisi pálosok
dunai malma már 1458-ban is üzemelt a község határában, említésre
méltó ipari emlék.
Szodliget Szodhöz
tartozott 1950-ig, amikor önálló községgé alakult.
2006. november
4-én országzászlót állítottak a Petofi-szobor mellett.

Amolyan
drive-in mikrocache, amit a fotéren találhatsz. Kérlek fokozottan
ügyelj, mert a közeli pub miatt nagy a mugli veszély, még késo este
is.
Kérlek
jelezd a logodban, ha valami probléma van a ládával: a logbook kezd
betelni, a doboz megsérült, ...

This town is
situated 30 km north from Budapest. To the south there is Göd, on
the north side there is Vác, to the southeast it’s
Szod.
It is accessible
on the road 2. and road M2 (oldest name 2/A); and with a train on
the Budapest-Vác-Szob-railroad.
The area of
Szodliget was already a town of accomodation for humans in
the prehistoric times. It is proven by a stone age artifact found
near the Fishing lake.
The mill of the
Pauline from the pilis was also working in 1458 on the edge of the
village, it’s an industrial monument that worth
mentioning.
Szodliget was the
part of Szod until 1950, then it became to independent
village.
A country flag
was set up beside the Petofi-statue in 4th of November
2006.

This
geocache became the first cache in Szodliget!!! J
It’s a
kind of drive-in microcache, which you can find on tha main square.
Please really be careful with muggles, due to the fact there is a
pub near the cache, so there are lot of muggles even at late
evenings.
Please
indicate in your log if there is a problem with the cache: the
logbook is becoming full, the box is damaged, ... Thanks for your
