Hill-man has come back to the lowlands for winter supplies! It being a long walk to town, he thought to take the train into Castletown, or possibly even Douglas if time allows, but forgot the trains don't run in winter! Yet another rethink required, he's good at these, back up to the road to catch the bus. He could have caught that back at Ballabeg, near the church. It is a pleasant trip if you do take the train, meandering through some countryside not always visible from the road, the only drawback being the remoteness of Ballabeg from its' village. Anyone thinking of using the train to get to this cache, or visit Ballabeg should remember Ballabeg is a request stop, tell the guard when you board the train. If intending to catch the train here, stand on the platform with your arm out, (withdrawing it as the engine approaches close!), the train will stop for you. As MrsCC can vouch, having been aboard at the time, they have been known to overshoot, and have to reverse to collect passengers. At present the trains are summer only, there were rumours of a more frequent service. It is recommended to park at the bottom of the lane, at the station, but great care must be taken when leaving as the lane is just below the bridge top.
From the posted co-ords at the gate go to S1. There is an iron cover with various number and letter combinations on it, you are looking for EN___D___. Now the hard bit, EN___ plus 348 gives the N co-ords, (last three digits after the decimal), D___ gives the W last three of the final. The final is in the station area.
