Just a quick cache to start the New Year
The year 2012 should be a good year full of fun and surprises for folks in BC and in particular on beautiful Vancouver Island. Port Alberni joins other communities in celebrating a centennial this year and we have the Mega Event 'Island Spirit 2012' in the Cowichan Valley to look forward to this summer. But that is all yet to come............
The best way for cachers to start the New Year is to go out caching and actually find what you are seeking. This should not be a difficult find and we are not even asking you to walk very far... in fact, please park where there is ample room to park - well off the road, and the prize should be yours rather quickly.
It was cloudy and raining when we took the readings, but you should not have trouble here. Go, find the cache, sign the log and rehid for others.
***By the way, this is to remind you that you should ALWAYS have a writing impliment to sign the log!!! We did not include one and you must sign to claim a find.
To all cachers, whether you seek this cache now or have to pass on it for a while, we do wish you all a very good, Happy New Year and happy caching, always.
May 2015 - we did move this container to a new location. Not far. Same container and log book and we believe if it is replaced properly, it should still stay dry. While this location will not give YOU the cover the previous location did, we do know you all know about stealth. And we appreciate that.
By the eay, the creative picture of a 'view from the cache' is a nice picture, really. Now it is not true. heehee
