Geocache Description:

Space Shuttle Series

Mission designation STS-1 was the first orbital shuttle flight on April 12 1981 @7:00AM EST at the Kennedy Space Center LC-39A.

Landing on April 14 1981 @10:20AM PST at Dryden Flight Research Center not far from here.

Space Shuttle Series Notes:

This series is in the Mojave desert, an extreme harsh enviroment.

Know your abilities.

Bring plenty of water even in winter.

Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to be back.

Bring a cell phone.

This series will take several hours to complete by foot.
