I logged DNF so many times on the cache "Spawned Pink Camo" that I felt like I knew this location like the back of my hand. I never found it! I was SPURNED!
Now that Spawned Pink Camo has been archived, I took its location to place a cache that everyone can find! Within 25 feet of the alleged location of Spawned Pink Camo, I placed an ammo box. If you have ever been caching in the Pines, you can't miss it! It is NOT pink!
There is also a story behind this ammo box. A while back - maybe a year ago - I parked near Spanwed Pink Camo to look for it. While I was there, I walked a ways down a fire trail that was nearby and placed the ammo box. However, the Reviewer told me that it was too close to something else, so it was denied posting. Today (12-30-11), I went to retrieve the ammo box (I know - I procrastinated). When I got there, I discovered that I had erased its location from my GPS memory! OH NO! I had no coordinates for it. I only knew that it was more than 0.10 miles from Spawned Pink Camo and it was to the right of the fire trail. But where? I bushwacked all around the general area for about 20 to 30 minutes, and Viola!, there it was. Still in perfectly good shape! I just changed the title page on the log, and used the same ammo box and contents for this cache. It contains a $2 bill for the FTF. It also has an LED flashlight, and some other goodies. Now it should be an easy find! ENJOY! As always, wear orange and watch for ticks and chiggers!
