Geocache Description:

This cache will bring you to one of the most beautiful rural landscapes on the Eastern Shore!

It was hidden in honor of Sassy, a lovable stuffed squirrel who faithfully watched over Sassy's Cache (GC174DR) until they both disappeared some time after December 2, 2011. She was named for a real squirrel, who with her magnetic personality and charm, became attached to us to the point of taking peanuts from our hands. Before she disappeared Sassy loved to play among the cedar branches on this high knoll and spent hours up there looking out over the water.

Today, after hiding this cache, we were driving away when we suddenly spotted a scraggly Sassy, lying in the parking lot! What a mystery!

This is a log-only cache, so bring a pen or pencil.

While you are here you might want to launch your boat or kayak, or go fishing. You may also want to do Chincoteague Bay Earthcache (GC1BPNK).

Occasionally, storm tides may limit access to this area.
