Cache is at the published coordinates. But to log you must first complete the challenge. To complete this challenge you must simply find and log any cache that hasn't been logged for one year prior to your find.
Let's face it, there are a lot of caches out there. With so many options in front of us it can be easy to ignore some real gems. It might be a devious puzzle or a tricky multi or even a simple traditional at the end of a long hike.
The point of this challenge is to reward you for showing a little love to a neglected cache. All you have to do to complete the requirements of this challenge is to find, and log (from the 1st of Jan 2012), a cache that hasn't been found for one year prior to your log.
There is no need to seek my permission to log this challenge cache. Just add the GC code of that cache in your log and I will be able to check it easily. Of course, if you want to make sure you have met the requirements of the challenge cache, feel free to post a note or send me an e-mail.
The usual challenge fine print applies:
- Geocaching Challenges, whether they are photos, actions, or whatever, do not qualify.
- Caches owned by, adopted by, originally placed by, previously found by, or replaced by, the finder cannot be used for this challenge.
-Caches that were disabled or archived at the time of finding cannot be used for this challenge, even if the finder replaces them.
Cache difficulty reflects the potential effort/planning/ execution in finding a neglected cache. In reality it is closer to one star.
So, if you accept, there is your challenge. Pull that puzzle out of the "too hard basket" or invest a few hours to tackle that tricky multi or get a group together and have an adventure in the bush. It doesn't matter what you choose, just give a neglected cache some love. You just might find a real gem!
