Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in the grounds of Sudley House, Mossley Hill, Liverpool. It is a blue screw top tub held in a green camouflage bag. Please do not remove the pencil, logbook or 'THE GEOCACHING ASSOCIATION OF GREAT BRITAIN' card. Also can you make sure it is the placed back in its original hiding place. Good Luck!

This cache is hidden in the grounds of Sudley House, Mossley Hill, Liverpool. It has been launched with a travel bug, a logbook and seven toys. Sudley House itself is rather difficult to find, however with the correct guidance it should be easy to locate. The house is on Mossley Hill Road opposite Mossley Hill Sports' Club playing fields. The house itself is not visible from the road but there is usually a banner up on the entrance wall advertising an exhibition that is on in the house. At the moment it is 'Costume Drama'.
The drive to the house has gardens either side, there is a field next to the furthest garden on the left as you are coming in by the side of the house, this is where the cache is hidden.
The house itself is well worth a visit. The date of the house is unknown but experts think it was built by an architect called Thomas Harrison between 1811 and 1815. The house belonged to the rich cotton merchant, George Holt. Holt was a keen art collector and Sudley House boasts quite a few of Gainsborough's and Turner's works among many other paintings. Entry is free. Dogs are allowed in the grounds but not in the house apart from assistance dogs. There are children's activities within the house and there is also a Victorian tearoom.
