Frank & Ernst, scene 2 Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This is the original location of the Ernst train platform. Many many years ago all the small settlements along the railway had a platform to catch a ride to go to town.
Ernst was the first train platform south of Marshall back in the days before cars & highways. The locals would take their horses & buggies here and catch the train into town to do their shopping. The trackbed is very wide as there was a rail siding here that is almost 1/4 mile long. The old foundation for the train platform was torn out in 2010. Regretfully no pictures of the platform can be found.
