New Hampshire Firsts Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

evilfoot: I checked on the location today and the logging has taken a toll. I'm sure it will one day be a nice spot again but right now it's not a pleasant walk. I also couldn't find the container. It's had a good run of just over 10 years so I am regretfully archiving the cache.

Geocache Description:

On this eve of the NH “First in the Nation” presidential primary for 2012, it seems a good time for me to hide my first cache in the first month of the new year. That led me to think about other “firsts” for the Granite State, from the first American credit union (https://www.acumuseum.org/our-story.html) to the first American in space (Alan B. Shepard of nearby Derry). I’m sure you can think of others but here is a link to the state website on “NH firsts and bests” (https://www.nh.gov/folklife/learning-center/firsts-bests.htm) Cache is a 3 cup locking plastic container with a logbook and a small FTF prize. It is located a short bushwack off a Water Works trail near Little Massabesic pond. It won’t be winter friendly if there is much snow. Use caution on the approach from parking. Congratulations to FTF BriGuy83 Additional coordinates for parking are: N 43° 00.553, W 071° 19.951.
