Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the Blue Springs rec area. It's a .12 mile hike to the cache from the parking area. Congrats to Nolechic FTF!!!

This is our very first cache. We really hope you will enjoy it. The coordinates should be almost dead on so please let us know if they are off. Blue Spring creek feeds this pond. It stays a constant 65 degrees year round. It's a very popular swimming hole amongst local Crestuckians like ourselves. You do not need four wheel drive to reach the parking area so bring your family and enjoy the view, but please leave the area cleaner than when you found it. Cache in trash out! Have fun, OH, you better bring about a half gallon of water with you as well. Good Luck!

****NOTE*****NOTE*****NOTE*****NOTE*****NOTE**** This cache is within the Eglin air force base reservation. A pass is required to be on the reservation. It cost $12 (2011) for one year and comes with a great map. It can be obtained from Eglin AFB Natural Resources Branch (Jackson Guard Office), located at 107 Highway 85 North, Niceville FL 32578. Office hours are: Monday-Thursday 7:00-4:30pm; Friday 7:00am-6:00pm; Saturday 7:00am-12:30pm; Closed on Sunday and Federal Holidays. A pass can be obtained by going to Jackson Guard or by mail. (See above address). Mail a copy of your most recent pass to Jackson Guard at above address with any changes in address noted. It takes 1 to 2 weeks to process. If you do not have a pass, mail a copy of your driver’s license with your phone number. Payment by mail must be by check. They will accept it made out to Jackson Guard. Phone # is (850)882-4164. A pass can also be obtained immediately by going to Jackson Guard in person during office hours.
Hunters and or wild life may be in this area as well as military personal conducting maneuvers. It is possible unexploded ordinance could be in the area so be aware of your surroundings. ****Also note due to training and missions the areas maybe closed at certain days of the week or times. Please check this site for closures in the area before going after the caches on Eglin Reservation. Before entering the Eglin AFB reservation, you must check the current day's Jackson Guard PDF map at (visit link)
