So, I was honored recently with a cache. It left me thinking about the wonderful cachers who hid it, and I remembered a conversation I had with Terpnurse about this location. We both had been thinking of hiding a cache here, but neither of us had done it. Well, I'm killing 2 birds with 1 stone...so to speak. This was the best way I could think of for a thank you, and bring you all to this fantastic spot.
Many people find cemeteries creepy or weird. I am not one of those people. You see; I grew up taking after dinner walks with my mom and brother through this cemetery. I learned how to do math using the headstones. My mom would ask us how old they were when they died, how old they would be if they were still alive, how long they had been dead, etc. This might sound morbid, but to us, we were having fun with my mom.
There is the "big hill" I rode my brother's brand new bike down, and promptly crashed leaving me with a fantastic road rash. When Mt. St. Helen's erupted we came up here to watch the plume. When I was learning to drive, I started here (the theory was...I couldn't kill anyone).
The area the cache is in used to be the cemetery dump, but it has come a long way since then! Come and enjoy the amazing view! It really doesn't get much better than this. I hope Terpnurse and baesperza don't mind my choice for where I have hid their cache, but I suspect they won't ;).
Please make sure to cover the cache with "natural" cammo to keep it well hidden.
