Cache is located in a wooded area in Rocklin. Parking coordinates are the only legal spot to park in the area and are the location of the trailhead. Paved trail for part of the way then it turns to dirt. Very little bushwacking is needed. Cache is a camo taped PB jar. Log, pen and assorted goodies.
The area near the cache site is habitat for the Valley Elderberry Longhorn Beetle. I've always seen a ton of them around work. They are all over the place and we've given them the nickname of "FRED". If this is their habitat, then why are they in our industrial complex?
Tried to spot one the day I hid the cache but either they were to smart for me or they were warn and toasty in their hideouts. Photos of the critters would be a great addition to your logs.
