Springbrook Reclaimed Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Terpnurse: It appears this one has gone missing. And since I've moved to eastern Washington, I'm just shutting down any caches of mine that still exist on the west side when such problems arise.

Thank you for all who came and found this little guy. I wouldn't recommend another cache down this cul-de-sac though. The neighbors have always been a bit 'iffy' about the cache in the first place.

Geocache Description:

A micro along a bubbling brook being reclaimed from man's abuse. There is absolutely no need to leave the road whatsoever! Please respect the neighbors and the environment. Both are sensitive to petty criminal activity in recent months. The hint will make this much simpler for you.

Springbrook creek has been undergoing reclamation for some years farther north near I-405. Some areas of the creek up there have beautiful boardwalks to allow public viewing of the wetlands. But here in this modest spot, Springbrook bubbles along gently and welcomes wildlife back into her bosom without a lot of notice.

Except for one man we met while we were placing this cache. We were lucky to have run into him as he was photographing and documenting the wildlife that have returned here. He told us to check out the Springbrook Critters facebook page (visit link) for some of his better photos.

When placing this cache, we shot seven coordinates with three being anomalously off. We disregarded those and averaged out the remaining four which were nearly identical. However, be aware that there is a lot of signal bounce in the area. The hint will make it plain where to search once you're near GZ.

To repeat, when retrieving this cache, there is no need to step off into the natural area. Most of the land around you is private and the neighbors are highly aware and sensitive to strangers in their peaceful dead end. Please show the utmost respect to them.
