In December 2011, construction was completed on a 1 mile trail from Battle Ground Lake Park to the southwest. Best parking for this cache is at the entrance to the park and cache can be found after about 1/2 mile walk along a paved trail.
The vision for the Chelatchie Prairie RWT is to designate and develop a multi-use trail within the right-of-way that provides a non-motorized travel alternative for Clark County residents. The proposed trail parallels the active rail line for 33-miles from
Vancouver to Chelatchie Prairie and protects and enhances the biological, cultural and historic resources within the corridor. For more information on this project, see www.clark.wa.gov/chelatchie/index.html
