Super Bowl XI was played on January 9, 1977 at the Rose Bowl in
Pasadena, California. The game pitted the AFC Champion Oakland
Raiders vs. the NFC Champion Minnesota Vikings. The game was
televised by NBC with play-by-play announcer Curt Gowdy and color
commentator Don Meredith. In the End, Oakland beat Minnesota 32 to
14 winning their first Vince Lombardi Trophy.
