Super Bowl XLV was held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas
on February 6, 2011 and pitted the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the
Green Bay. The Packers defeated the Steelers by the score of
31–25, becoming only the second NFC wild card team ever to
win the Super Bowl.
This was the first time the Super Bowl was played in the
Dallas–Fort Worth area, and the third time it was held in the
state of Texas. The hosting venue Cowboys Stadium, is the largest
domed stadium in the world with a capacity of 110,000 (including
standing room), and is home to the Dallas Cowboys.
