Geocache Description:

A cache for hikers or 4WD drivers on the western slope of the Gerania Mountains.


We named the cache Geography Lessons because of the great view over land and sea that it offers. You can have a clear idea of the geography of the area: The Saronic gulf, the Corinthian gulf, the Isthmos channel, the Hereon Lake, the mountains in Peloponnese.

We placed this cache on a hiking tour around Attica that we organized in order to get to know beautiful places apart from Crete, where we come from. This hike started from Agios Ioannis Prodromos Monastery and ended up in Pissia village.

To find the cache you can either hike from Prodromos Monastery up on the mountain for about an hour or drive a dirt road up near the hang-gliding take-off site. Good hiking shoes are recommended.
