Geocache Description:

This is a County Park with well marked paths for walkers, cyclist, buggies etc. Some of the clues and cache location may be difficult those with impaired mobility and very young children should be supervised.

The Coordinates are for the start of the Multi-Cache where you will discover a notice board that provides the locations of the where you need to visit to work out the clues. Ample parking (pay and display) is available in the park and some free on-street parking is also in the village.

Note: This is set as difficulty level 4 as some geocachers have struggled to find the cache.

The CACHE is located at: 52-53-ABC 001.23.XYZ

This is a complete revamp of my previous cache in this area called “Elvaston ‘oh’ Elvaston.” which has now been archived. This was a very popular and well reviewed cache and I am hoping to repeat on it's popularity and success.

This a new cache, different location and different clues, I have also made this a bit of a puzzle so you may need to solve some clues in order to get the final location. All of these locations should be easy to find, and clues easy to solve, but to help I have also added some spoiler photos – they do not answer the questions but they will make the clue location obvious so only use as a last resort (it’s up to you).

The following locations are NOT in any particular order, they are all in Elvaston County Park and if you park in the main car park the (which is the coordinates used for this listing) then all the clues should make for a reasonably circular walk round the grounds.

• As you take a walk round the lake you will come to the boat house, but how many bars are on any one of the windows of the waterwheel. Divide the number by 3 to give you “Y”

• Go to the Golden Gates where you need to count the number of Coats of Arms that surround the entrance, from this number subtract the total number of balls that adorn the crown on the top of the main gate then add 3 to the total – This will give you “B”

• On many summer days you would be able to hear the “thwack of willow on leather”. But, in what year was the 150th anniversary celebrated. Using this year add all the individual digits together and then divide this number by 4 – This will give you "A"

• Ahab Winfield would not have had to not have to strayed to far off the path in order to take his final rest here in the year 190”Z”

• You would be close to the main entrance of the Castle where you are looking for the letter H which bounds a set of number. Above the 4 is a two digit number, first add 1 to this number subtract the lowest digit from the largest digit to give you “C”

• As you round the lake you may have crossed the concrete bridge – But X marks the spot. This will give you a two-digit number, add both digits together to give you “X”

The cache is a small plastic container with log book and small items only. Enjoy the Cache.....
