Geocache Description:

“Consider the daffodil.
And while you're doing that, I'll be over here, looking through your stuff.”

Since its inception in 1969, Park & Tilford Gardens has been a must-see destination for North Vancouverites to bring their out-of-town guests. There are 8 themed garden areas which are free to view, as well as the Rose Room, which can be rented out for meetings or wedding receptions. While the flowers naturally steal the show throughout the Spring and Summer, each December the gardens draw many more visitors who come to see the thousands of festive lights and decorations that adorn the area.

As you wander the walkways you will see many plaques, signs and information boards throughout the Gardens. The plaques tell the story of how the Gardens came to be and memorialize those who helped make them what they are today. The other informative signage tells you what species of tree, shrub or plant you are looking at, and in some cases relates part of its history.

This is not the first cache in the Gardens, and those familiar with the most recent archived one will find the new spot not far from the old spot. The container is a pretty standard silver micro-tube, so I apologize in advance for the lack of room for cool swag and trackables. The camouflage, however, is not so standard, so you will need to sharpen your geosenses.

Please keep in mind there is no need whatsoever set foot in any garden area or disturb any living plant to make the grab. You will need to step off the path ever so slightly to find the hiding spot but please leave the camo intact and simply remove the container. When you put it back, please leave it so the next cacher has something to grab. Oh, and you'll want to bring something to write with!

Here’s hoping this one doesn’t get muggled - again - any time soon!

The Gardens open at 9:30am daily. Closing time is seasonal, varying from 4pm in winter to 9:30pm in summer or during the Christmas Festival of Lights.
