Atwater Park Adventure Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is located in Atwater Park, on the former grounds of Rockrimmon, the 180 acre estate of George Atwater, founder of the Springfield Street Railway which ran the trolley system in the area in the late 1800s and early 20th century.
The small tupperware container holds some documents outlining the history of Atwater Park, the Springfield Street Railway and George Atwater. Also in the cache is a trackable geo-coin, which was found in a nearby cache, a mini-flashlight and two carabiners. Finally, the First to Find, may discover a special US coin.
There is some automobile parking on the nearby street, but leaving your cars there might bring out some inquizitive muggles, so it might make sense to leave your car on nearby more traveled streets and walk to the park.
There is an informal trailhead (entry) at N42°36.1854' W 72°7.8306', which may be useful to start your journey.
