This is a Challenge Cache. To get your smiley you have to have logged a cache for all 366 days of the year. Yes, February 29 is required. All cache types count. They do NOT have to be done on consecutive days. They can be from different years. No, you cannot count logging this cache as one of your 366.
Coincidentally 2012 is a Leap Year! And now, four years later - 2016 is too!!
Your statistic page will be viewed on geocaching.com to verify. Cachers claiming the find that do NOT have a cache logged for every day of the year will have their log deleted. You can log your find when you meet the requirements for this cache. If you meet the requirements and wish to post a note here ahead of your hunt for pre-verification please feel free.
A higher difficulty rating is given due to number of days (366) caching required.
And instead of a simple micro under a lamp post skirt in a parking lot I thought to have the container, challenge and the terrain to be a bit more noteworthy. Container is an ammo can.
This is in the same area as GC1BXRY, "Where Cars Meet Their Maker" and several other noteworthy caches. The only real approach for this cache is now through Sweetwater Creek State Park. If coming in from Sweetwater you have over a mile hike straight-line as-the-crow-flies from the nearest parking to where you hit the first Trailhead coords. Then you have a roughly 1,500 - 2,000 foot hike to the 2nd trailhead coords where you can pick up a side trail that takes you near GZ. Or start a cross country trek. From that point it is roughly 1,300 feet straight line, or roughly 1,500+ on this alleged trail if you can find it. Coming in from Sweetwater is about 2 miles one way with easier terrain. Plan your time accordingly. Good shoes or hiking boots recommended - this is not a flip-flop hike!
