This cache will be found by parking at a Game Commission Parking
area along Rte 219 (coordinates for parking N41d 22.254", W78d
41.462") As I said if you watch your GPS and think that you can
shorten the hike by parking somewhere else, give it a try but it
won't be a pleasant hike. As you begin your hike you will notice a
nice trail heading toward the cache. Take the trail to the hideaway
(N41d 22.917", W78d 41.660") Look closely or you will miss the old
Hideaway.
Okay, stand by the side doorway, not the front doorway. Take a
240 heading toward the cache which is located at (N41d
22.890"--W78d 41.707") If you dont have a compass, just use your
heading feature on the GPS, or follow the coordinates to the cache.
If you use the 240 heading, you will be looking directly at a large
group of boulders maybe 400 feet away. Yup, that's where you want
to be heading. You will be looking among these natural giants for
the ammo-box left here many years back by some wandering hobo.
According to the legend, this ammo-box holds many treasures. If you
find it grab a couple things and leave a couple. Don't forget to
Smile for the camera and fill out the log-book. Enjoy the hunt. If
the coordinates don't agree with your's please let me know. Not
sure what the building was although I speculate some kind of
railroad building of sort. I did spend some time at this site with
my White Detector and dug three silver dimes out of the same hole
approx. 4" deep. This was maybe 100' from the building.
