Geocache Description:

A tribute cache to my fellow cacher Ziggy Crew. As I made this cache container I thought of how Ziggy crew always makes use of recycling and camo tape. But then also as I hiked up this mountain I really thought of the great Ziggy crew mobiles I seen. One of them being a cache itself left parked on the woods roads where it died. Mostly as I hiked I thought, "Why the heck am I actually hiking when I could be driving?" Most compact 4x4's could drive right up to the top of Bearpen Mountain. Trails are maintained by the local snowmobile club. These are the smoothest and widest snow mobile trails I've ever hiked. I guess technically the trails are not open to the general driving public all the way up the peak, especailly if there isn't snow. You can definitely legally drive all the way up over the pass between Bearpen and Vly, as it is County Route 3 (however it is not maintained). At the highest point of the pass is a Hunting cabin. From this point there are no gates to stop the adventurous from taking on these fun trails. Just remember if you're seeking to bag this peak for the 3500 club, you must summit on foot...
I just wonder at what point do you need to get out of your vehicle.
