Marine Messe Fukuoka opened in 1995. One of its main uses is as an indoor sporting arena. The capacity of the arena is 8,500 people. It hosted some of the group games for the 2006 Volleyball World Championship.
Japanese mega-stars Misia, Kumi Koda and Ayumi Hamasaki commonly play here for arena tours.
マリンメッセ福岡は、福岡県福岡市博多区沖浜町7-1にあるコンサートホール・コンベンションセンターです。財団法人福岡コンベンションセンターによって運営されています。
1994年8月に使用が開始され、福岡県内のアリーナ施設としては最大規模です。
2001年には世界135の国と地域から1,000人を超える選手が出場した「第9回世界水泳選手権福岡2001」の中心会場となりました（この時使用されたプールはヤマハ発動機により期間限定で特設されたもので、常設のプールは設けられていない）。
2004年にはとびうめ国文祭の開会式・オープニングフェスティバルが行われるなどイベントでも多用され、ディズニー・オン・アイス福岡公演の会場や、多くの有名ミュージシャンやバンドの福岡公演の会場として使用されています。1997年以降（2001年を除く）は毎年7月下旬に福岡市で開催される金鷲旗全国高等学校柔道大会及び玉竜旗全国高等学校剣道大会の会場としても使われています。
近隣には、博多港国際ターミナル（釜山航路が発着）・博多埠頭（離島航路が発着）のほか、福岡国際会議場・福岡国際センター・福岡サンパレス、少し離れて福岡競艇場などの施設が集まっています。
