This cache is placed to celebrate New Mexico's 100 years of statehood on January 6, 2012. Hence the name, as Old Glory picked up it's 47th star when President William H. Taft signed the statehood bill. The first governor as a state was William C. McDonald.
Enjoy a walk down the boardwalk on Burro Avenue in Cloudcroft, where many historic old buildings now house a variety of shops and stores. This cache should be accessible year round. No room for trade items. BYOP. Unscrew the container to get the log and after signing, place the log in to the top first, then screw the bottom part back on.
