Geocache Description:


This is a webcam flash mob event!

- A flash mob is were a group of people assemble suddenly in a public place and disperse after a few minutes leaving onlookers wondering what just happened.

- A group photo is usually taken at these events. At this event there is a webcam looking at the flash mob location's co-ordinates and so a screenshot from the webcam will be taken of the flash mob making this a Webcam Flash Mob Event! If enough people attend we will try and make a giant smiley! (see artist's impression!)

 I set sail for fortune and glory on 1st May and thought it would be cool to hold my first ever event before I go! I have been addicted to Geocaching since I discovered it 18 months ago, but I don't think there has been a Glasgow event during this time?!? I attended a webcam flash mob in Dublin on 11.11.11 and it was a lot of fun, I think I spotted Jedward?!? It would be great to get the chance to say farewell to my geo-pals before going on my adventure, and it's always good to meet fellow cachers and put some more faces to names! Everyone is welcome to attend. Have fun and Happy hunting!

On the day of the Event:

- Get to the area early, but STAY AWAY from GZ until 7pm.
- Act like a muggle before the event starts. (don't congregate with other geocachers)

19:00 Event Start
- A bucket will be placed at the designated coordinates to signify the start of the event.
- Log sheets will be handed out for you to sign your attendance. Place your completed logsheet into the bucket. If you miss returning your log sheet, you missed the event. A slip will be pulled from the returned logsheets for FTF : )
- The group will join together and create a giant smiley that will be visible from space!
- There will be a group photo taken via the webcam.
- Group transform back in to muggles and disperse.
