Captain Beyond was one of the best super groups you've never heard of... or maybe you have, but they were pretty obscure.
Built from parts of Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly, and Johnny Winter Band, Captain Beyond put out three albums of mind blowing music. While they never fully hit the mainstream, they left their mark with listeners everywhere. If you haven't heard them or heard of them, hunt them down on the internet, or even visit the related website (youtube video) posted and take a listen.
