Geocache Description:

This cache will lead you through some of the lesser used areas of this popular location.

Note: A permit for this Geocache has been received from the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. According to legend, this ancestral camping ground of the Suquamish Indian Tribe was the birthplace of Chief Sealth (whom the City of Seattle was named after). Some sort of water craft is needed to get to this location, hence the high Terrain Difficuly number. OK, its an island. Once your on the island, the cache is a simple walk in the park.

Hints:

  • Your favorite color will be blue, not red or white. Visit this link if your trouble with this clue.http://www.blakeislandcruises.com/trailmap.html
  • Look for an large, ancient, moss covered log.
  • The cache is a green ammo container.
With these hints, and the encrypted hint, you hardly need a GPS! No bushwacking is required for this cache. If your confused by the first hint, consider looking at the map sign board near the marina. As Chief Sealth would say, Happy Hunting.
