Butlers Bridge is the name given to a bridge that crosses the Broughton River
At the cache area you will find Butlers Bridge Hall, constructed in 1920, painted white and well maintained but the gate is paddlocked so do not go in.Next to it once stood the Butlers Bridge School, this operated from 1906 through to 1948.
Heading further south/west you will come across the Bridge that the small community was named after and further towards Pt Broughton you will come across a sign pointing out the Social Sporting Club area, this once had a oval and tennis courts, sadly all that remains is what is believed to be the tennis court shed. This is now private land so do not trespass.
All the area around Butlers Bridge is floodplains with quite a few concrete spoon drains in the Old Pt Broughton road,so please be careful on your approach
