When you go to hunt this cache, you will come to a place called Cat
Co 2 beach (at N 20° 43.179 E 107° 03.337), a very beautiful little
piece of paradise, with a lovely sand beach and a few wooden
bungalows, surrounded by green mountains. I really enjoyed coming
here for a few days to chill out from the noisy and crowded city of
Hanoi. The last time I came here was with BlackForest Lumberjack,
who I also tribute to and thank for helping to place and list this
cache...
Unfortunately, this peaceful spot is now endangered, and I am
afraid it will not last much longer. Some investors plan to tear
this all down and build a new five-star hotel-resort-whatever kind
of place. Or, in the words of another regular visitor here: It´s
all gonna be messed up…
The construction works have already started, with a road built
in the back of the little resort. Therefore, we have included some
pictures with a view from the cache-site onto the beach of Cat Co
2, in the state that it was in when we last saw it. We´d be happy,
if you´d include a picture of the current state, when you go to
hunt the cache, so the changes are made visible.
About the cache: Be aware of the four stars for the terrain,
this hunt involves some swimming and climbing. All of which is on
your own risk. And now, have fun with hunting and finding this
cache. It´s the first one I´ve hidden, I hope you´ll like it.
