A cache by Thornley Beck.
Thornley Beck is a delightful woodland containing
mixed broadleaves including oak and chestnut, and
conifers including Douglas fir, hybrid larch, Sitka
spruce and Norway spruce planted in 1973. It has
the intensive nature-rich edge effects associated
with long narrow woods and abounds with wild
flowers, notably orchids, wild garlic and bluebells.
The beck and its species-rich margins flows from
end to end, a continuous feature of wildlife interest
with small waterfalls and pools.
It's possible to park at the side of the road with care or about a 100 yards down the road and walk back.
No need to climb over any fences the cache can be reached from the roadside.
This is a park and grab or even a park and have a nice stroll and is the 2nd Cache I have placed in the area (See W.S.M.) with more to follow!
