Decide what it is that you want to do with your one wild and precious life.
Wikipedia defines terminal velocity as being when the downward force of gravity (FG) equals the upward force of drag (Fd). This causes the net force on the object to be zero, resulting in an acceleration of zero.
For the few that decide to partake in this legendary adventure, you will be joining an elite group that will not stagnate in front of the TV or computer and will make a definite impression upon the world...no pun intended.
What: Geocaching Skydiving Event and Potluck and Cachey Awards
Where: Skydive Burnaby, 11531 Burnaby Road Wainfleet, ON
When: Saturday, July 14th, 2012
Exactly when: 10:00am for jumpers
11:00am for non-jumpers
Who: Everybody!
How: Driving would probably be the best
I Have wanted to go skydiving for quite some time now and for Christmas, I received a voucher to do my first jump.
I have found that a lot of people share the same desire so I am putting this out to any cacher who would be willing to join me.
The event is for anybody, you don't have to jump out of a plane as we will have a raffle draw, potluck lunch, some new caches and a chance to see me plummet to the Earth at about 100mph (160kph).
I will also be continuing my yearly Cachey Awards at this event so this will be an opportunity to vote for the caches and cachers whom you feel deserve the acclamations!
If you would like to bring something to the potluck lunch, please include your item(s) in your will attend so we can get an idea of how much food we will have. If you have your own chairs or something else to sit on, please bring it as they have limited picnic tables.
I will post more as the date nears and if you have any questions, feel free to ask them.
For more information about skydiving for that day, please visit the Skydive Burnaby website, which can be found through a simple online search.
For those of you who are interested in jumping, please contact Skydive Burnaby to ensure that they have room for you for July 14th. They can't guarantee that if people decide to jump that day, that they will be able to accommodate everybody.
Update!! June 25/2012:
