If you would like to check out disc golf discs before you begin
your walk, I suggest you start at this cache first. This cache will
take you to the parking lot outside the Student Union building.
Inside is a food vendor, bookstore, library, computer lab and study
area. The cache owner is located inside the library where the big
picture window is. Please feel free to come in and say
“Hi!”. If you would like to play the disc golf course
you are able to check out disc golf discs inside the library.
This one will probably require the most stealth of any of the
caches. It is located in the main parking lot for campus and is
outside one of the busiest buildings on campus and can see a lot of
traffic. I have made this a quick P&G. Shouldn’t take
long to retrieve this one. Please place back the way you found it,
so that it is not easily found by the many muggles who walk through
here. BYOP.
The trail starts just at the entrance to the parking lot where this
cache is located.
ATU-Ozark is aware of all of the caches along this trail.
This is a one-half mile walking trail built around the Arkansas
Tech University – Ozark Campus. The trail is called the
“SGL- The Carbon Company Trail”. This trail was
completed in October 2011. It is the first project funded by the
college’s first private fundraising campaign.
The trail also features a 9-hole disc golf course. Discs may be
checked out at the library inside the Alvin F. Vest Student
Union.
The trail and disc golf course (as well as disc checkout) are
available to the public. The caches, trail and disc golf course are
available everyday. However, discs can only be checked out during
library hours when campus is open. M-F 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
