A Service Project was done in 2011 to help restore the door to
the chapel as well as clean out much of the building to enable
additional work to be done on the the building back to what it
looked like inside originally. The project was lead by an Eagle
Scout from Boy Scout Crew 9947. The historical society said that it
wouldn't have started without the efforts by the Eagle Scout and
his service to get the project started out right.
The cache is located on the outside grounds of this historical
facility. There are some interesting, historical things to see on
the outer grounds. Access is free to the cache, but you may also be
interested in going inside for a small admission fee. Hours vary
with the season. IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO CLIMB ANY FENCES. The cache
is within easy reach. Please pay the usual Geocachers respect while
visiting these grounds.
