A tribute to Dan Carter who unfortunately pulled his groin muscle, ruling him out of playing in the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
A beautiful spot where the Waikanae River meets the ocean, with an exceptional view of Kapiti Island - a land without any predators and many very rare birds.
This could be accessed from several directions. The shortest way is across the river from Waikanae which can be waded across at low tide. The tracks from the south can contain some very deep mud puddles so do your homework and work out which way will be best for you.

This can be a very busy area during summer, so please exercise a bit of stealth while locating this.
Please take your best photograph and attach it to your log. I would love to document a year-round view of this spot from your camera's point of view.
Cache was originally placed by TNXPro, who used to live in Waikanae and bring his family here to swim at the beach. He will be keeping an eye on this cache and hopes it can live on with its new owner.
