Geocache Description:

I was surprised to see that there were no caches in this area which has so much history associated with it so decided to do something about it.

The co-ordinates given indicate a possible place for parking thoughtfully. Any further progress by car, although possible on tarmac, risks inconveniencing the local farmers. Anyway the walk from here, which can be done without crossing farmland OR TRESPASSING ON QUARRY LAND, gives the sort of views you would expect to see from somewhere that has been a vantage point for centuries. To find the cache you will first have to solve a little puzzle. Draw a 3 by 3 grid, label the columns H T and U and the rows 1 2 and 3 then insert the numbers 1 to 9 so that the row 2 number formed is twice and the row 3 number is three times the row 1 number. The cache is hidden at: N 55 04.H2U2H2 W001 58.U2U3T3 As there are four ways of completing the grid you will have to use your geocaching skills to decide which one I have used - although those who have already found the other three caches in this series set last month have a head start!
