This is an ammo box cache painted silver with a
Geocaching identification
sticker on the side.
This is an office-themed cache, but feel free to leave things
signifying what you really do at the office :)
Ticks have been very active around the cache during the summer
months. Be sure to wear bug repellant during the warmer months and
do a tick-check when you get home! The portion of the hike through
the tall grass is where you will most likely pick-up deer
ticks.
On the walk along the spillway from the dam, I noticed that
poison ivy was starting to grow all through the grassy paths. Keep
an eye out for it!
Just a note that the power lines in the area seem to add some
additional sport to locating this cache. I'm thinking EM
interference... Multiple approaches to the site are
recommended.
The terrain can get a bit muddy after heavy rainfalls. Wear
appropriate footwear in those situations.
Coordinates have been updated with the return of the cache to
the wild in June 2003.
Note about the pictures associated with the cache. The picture
that is labeled "this is not the cache site, but it is cool" just
happens to be the original cache hiding place. It used to be a
complete hollowed-out tree stump; unfortunately, someone destroyed
it during a cache hunt and the cache had to be relocated.
Enjoy!
