My contribution to the KT socials we all love.
I would like to invite one and all to my social night.
The location is a lovely, recently refurbished public house in the village of Furness Vale by the name of 'The Soldier Dick'
The building itself is one of the oldest in the village and the story behind the name is writen on the wall in the main bar (please take some time to read).
As with all previous KT events, start time to meet is 7.30pm with a finish of when the bar closes.
Food is also served and I have attached scanned images of the menu for those wishing to dine too.
The Soldier Dick is located on the main A6 between Disley and Whaley Bridge, parking is available in the car park on in the main road but for those using public transport there is no problem there, the train station is just round the corner with hourly trains from Buxton and Stockport and there are a few buses that pass through the village too dropping off right outside the door of the pub.
I felt somewhat honoured when Khoomfay contacted me and gave me the opportunity to host what is becoming one of my favourite events so I hope many will join me in bringing the sleepy little village of Furness Vale on the map.
The view of the surrounding area are beautiful and the terrain is simple and accessable to most, no hard climbs here.
