This puzzle cache starts at the map of Ashhurst cemetery.
The map will help you identify the locations of the three waypoints of this puzzle cache.
The first waypoint is the grave of my Nana's Great-Grandmother, Amelia Auguste Johanne Thessman (nee Brieschke).
She was born 18 July 1849 in Jannewitz, Pommern, Klein, Prussia and died 29 November 1949 in Palmerston North.
Her grave is at WP1 which is Block 35, Plot 7.
One row closer to the carpark is the grave of her Husband (my Nana's Great-Grandfather), Johann Fredrick Thessman.
He was born 10th January 1848 (also in Jannewitz, Pommern, Klein, Prussia) and died 28 June 1937 in Ashhurst.
His grave is at WP2 which is Block 32, Plot 10.
One more row closer to the carpark is one of Johann and Amelia's six children (my Nana's Great-Uncle), Otto Frank Thessman.
He was born in Halcolmbe on 28th September 1877 and died in Plimmerton on 8 December 1910.
His grave is WP3 which is Block 28, Plot 7.
Stealth is required at GZ!!!
The coordinates for GZ are S40° 18.ABC' E175° 45.DEF'
From the headstone of Amelia A. J. Thessman:
B = Total Number of times the letter N appears on the headstone
C = Number of rows of text on the headstone
From the headstone of Johann F. Thessman:
D = Number of rows of text on the headstone
F = Total number of engraved 'lines' around Johann's 'title'
From the headstone of Otto Thessman:
A = Number of 'wagon wheels' in each corner that have no sections missing
E = On the first line, how many times is the most repeated letter... umm... repeated?
Checksum: A+B+C+D+E+F = 18
The cache is a 300ml black screw-top canister.
When originally placed, it contained the usual log book, pen, geonote and a couple of swappable trinkets including a toy APC that came from my Nana's mantelpiece.
While in the Domain, why not attempt "Once There Were Horses (GC10T5N)", "Navigation 2 (GC28W44)", and "A @ Ashhurst (GC3PKBF")
