One of the fun things to do when you're travelling is to organise an event in an area that you don't normally get to often, so that you can meet some of the local cachers.
We're going to be visiting Newcastle from Canberra in early February. We're amazed at how caching in Newcastle has really taken off in the past couple of years. So, we thought it would be fun to organise an event cache and meet some of the locals.
The event is going to be a BBQ lunch (BYO everything) at Ritchley Reserve. The event will start at noon on Saturday, 4th February. Children are most definitely welcome, and the aim is just to meet and greet and have a bit of fun. We'll even have a few prizes to give away as part of a lucky door prize!
(The coordinates for the event may or may not be an actual BBQ picnic spot at Blackbutt. It's been a while since I was over that way, so I was working from memory and Google Maps. If one of the locals could provide a potentially more accurate set of coords for a BBQ, it would be much appreciated!)
