Geocache Description:

Placed to mark our surprise humanist wedding blessing at Lydiard House on Saturday 4th February 2012!

On Saturday 4th February 2012 my partner and I got married after ten years together. It was a surprise wedding, in so much as we had gathered our friends and family in a nearby hotel under the pretence of it being our 10:30 Party (ten years together at thirty years). A video was played where they were told that we'd actually spent the day getting married and that a coach was waiting outside to take them to Lydiard House.

The coach made its way through the park in the dark and our guests alighted to two inches of freshly fallen snow. Fire poi was being performed on the lawn as they entered a candle-lit house for our humanist blessing, which was taken by the Rev'd Lionel Fanthorpe of Fortean TV.

What followed was a drinks reception with close-up magician and harpist, before the coach took everyone back to the hotel for a night of fantastic food, drink and dancing.

It was a truly magical evening and this cache is placed in the park in its honour. We will also be releasing a travel bug from this cache to mark the occasion.

Please re-hide me really well with the natural debris used to conceal me.
