Geocache Description:

A two part multi-cache, one small cache and one larger final cache. The Coordinates show part 1, which when found give you details on how to find the second and final cache containing log-book.

"In World War II, this bunker provided shelter to the population during German air-strikes and bombardments.

The shelter was created in an old sand quarry. There were about 75 of these shelters in Nottingham in World War II."

Both entrances are blocked of to the public, but the shelters still remain.

I placed this multi-cache as I found I lived in walking distance of two sand-stone WW2 air-raid shelters. I based the finds around these shelters. So, if the bombs ever start to fall, the geocaching community is safe!
