Geocache Description:

This is a 4 stage multi taking you on a short walk around the centre of the town of Dundalk. There is ample on street parking but be aware that pay parking is enforced throughout the town

Stage 1: The given coordinates bring you to the Market Square in the heart of the town. The square was completely redesigned in 2011, pedestrian crossing were installed to replace the old traffic lights, a new fountain installed and the focal point of the square (the courthouse and Maid of Éireann statue) both got a sandblasting to restore both to their former glory. At the given coordinates you will need the following information; the number of silver information boards depicting the life of legendary local hero Cúchulainn, call this A the number of trees in front of the courthouse surrounding the Maid of Éireann statue, call this B Stage 2: Go to N54 00.266 W006 23.964. This brings you to a local memorial What year did the incident occur for which the memorial was built, call this CDEF What year was the memorial built, call this WXYZ Stage 3: Go to N54 00.181 W006 24.157. The business at this location is called after a precious stone. How many letters are in this word. Call this number G (update: business is no more, it used to be the EMERALD casino) Stage 6: This is the final location and the cache is here. The coordinates are as follows; N54 00.(A-G)(C+D)(X-W) W006 24.(Z-Y)((F-E)+C)(B-E) Dundalk is an extremely busy town so discretion will be required when logging the find. Please rehide the cache exactly as found. While it is possible to drive around the stages this will be extremely difficult most of the time, walking is definitely the recommended means of doing the cache.
