A series of three caches set (literally) along a peaceful backwater of the lake in Blenheim’s park. This a great walk with plentiful wildlife to see and breathtaking views, slightly off the normal tourist route. The 3 caches will make up a nice circular walk if one takes in “Blenheim-Get in Free!” (GCG337) during your visit. It also shares part of the route you need to follow to collect the answers for “Blenheim and Beyo....nd” (GC1VGED)
I would suggest parking in the town carpark (N 051° 50.901’ W001° 21.169’) and entering the park via “The Green Gate” on The Causeway in Woodstock ( N 051° 50.961‘ W 001° 21.568’), thus legally avoiding the entrance fee. Then turn right and head for the caches via the trailhead at N 051°50.817’ W001° 22.457’.
Though less well trodden than most of the park, this path is still popular with locals so please be surreptitious when signing the logs! Please also push the lids on tightly as there is a bit of water nearby!
This micro is a small camouflaged cylinder containing log and pencil only.
