A cache to replace Second Star to the Right.... which was archived after its hiding place was destroyed by the storms in the first week of 2012. Even those that have visited before may well have forgotten the necessary numbers, and will find that the cache has been moved some distance, so should gain some pleasure from returning.
This cache was placed to bring people to this special spot in what was Mearnskirk Hospital. The hospital was officially opened in 1932 as a children's TB hospital. Over the years TB became less common (presumably because of social developments and a vaccination programme). Also, effective treatments for TB were introduced and the policy of long hospitalisation for tuberculosis and other infectious diseases died out. Mearnskirk developed to become a regional cardiothoracic centre, amongst other things.
In the 1990's the hospital and grounds were sold for residential development. It's pleasing that some of the original buildings persist.
But, of course, this cache is about Peter Pan, who stands at the initial coordinates. Only the top part of the original statue survives at the front of the Mearnskirk House NHS Continuing Care facility.

as it was
The Peter statue was placed in 1949 as a memorial to Dr John Wilson, the first superintendent at Mearnskirk. It may be that Peter Pan was chosen because this was a children's hospital, however, it's believed that the father-in-law of Dr Dale (one of Dr Wilson's colleagues) had been one of J.M. Barrie's childhood friends in Kirriemuir.

So, what about the prize? There's a plaque below the statue. On it there are 8 numbers in a row. Make these numbers ABCDEFGH.
The prize is at N55 G5.HGD W004 C0.(F-B)(D-E)(F-C)
