Geocache Description:

A little cache overlooking Walker Bay. Park in the street (Kus Rd) nearby (or at Stanford Bay) and its an easy few hundred meters walk on the Duiwelsgat trail.

The bench was erected in remembrance of Hendri, our uncle and brother. We miss him dearly. Kadoma was the name given to him by tribes next to the Nile in Uganda. You can read his whole story if you Google "Hendri Coetzee" (his blog : the great white explorer). He stayed here in Gansbaai for a while in Dec 2009. That December was the last time we saw him. On 7 December a year later he was taken by a crocodile on the Lukuga river, a tributary of the Congo while leading a kayak expedition. Sit on the bench, enjoy the view, and hopefully you will see a whale or a few dolphins. We wish Hendri could be here to enjoy this new (to us!) geocaching thing with us. Note : His posthumous memoir is available for order : livingthebestdayever.com
